Cumberland Valley Analytical Services is a significant employer in the Waynesboro – Chambersburg, PA – Hagerstown MD region. Depending on the time of year, we staff over 100 full and part time positions at our Waynesboro, PA laboratory
The focus of our business is to support efficiency and welfare in animal agricultural sciences. The data that we provide allows nutritionists, researchers, feed manufacturers, veterinarians, and others in the industry to improve animal production, support animal welfare, and provide information for managing the carbon footprint of agriculture. We provide nutritional information on human food and organic waste materials which allows for the safe and productive feeding to livestock animals of material that would otherwise be disposed of in landfills
Our workplace is unique. It combines all aspects of “STEM” – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math - in a fast-paced service environment. Aspects of various jobs that are available include:

We have employees that have been with the company for 15, 20, and even 25 years. Some started as entry level technicians and are now laboratory managers. While we have many staff members with college degrees of Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD’s, we also have many focused and dedicated employees with a high school education
We provide the steppingstone training for those with degrees looking to obtain their first laboratory experience, allowing them to move into biotech or pharmaceutical positions. We actively engage interns and those currently working on their degrees providing essential workplace experience.
We have a 30,000 sq ft modern and comfortable facility from which we serve not only clients in North America, but from places all around the world (Ukraine, South Africa, Russia, and China to name only a few). We connect cultures within the common bond of caring for animals and efficiency of food production.
